What We Do
Chiayi Municipal Museum partnered with Chunghwa Telecom and artgital to curate Digital Interaction, Co-Creating a Ceramic City for the 320+1 Chiayi City Expo. Facing a traditional craft that has gradually faded from public view, the exhibition reinterpreted Koji pottery's iconic jewel-like glaze colors and sculpting techniques through new interactive technology and creative methods, building a cross-generational shared experience.

The Ye Wang Craft Studio Floating Gesture Pottery Experience used Leap Motion gesture sensing with real-time AI computation, allowing visitors to shape their first virtual Koji pottery work by hand. The Explore Koji Art Dimensions Sensor Interactive Table used physical sensor objects to support deeper exploration of classic works and themes. Through technology, traditional craft gained new life, allowing the cultural depth of Chiayi Koji pottery to shine again in the technology era.
Leap Motion Floating Gesture Control for Virtual Pottery Shaping
Leap Motion optical gesture detection precisely captured hand movement and transformed traditional pottery-sculpting actions into intuitive gestures such as light pinching, selecting, dragging, and shaping. This recreated a realistic pottery-shaping sensation in virtual space. With a simple interface logic and dynamic guidance design, the experience greatly lowered the barrier to digital operation, allowing adults and children to move beyond technical limitations, create their first Chiayi Koji pottery work, and enjoy the pure pleasure of shaping Koji pottery.
AI Real-Time Generation Restoring Ye Wang's Classic Glaze
By integrating ComfyUI with multiple AI training models, Artgital deeply analyzed and restored Master Ye Wang's iconic crackle texture and jewel-tone glaze colors. During development, precise backend node tuning balanced computation time and output quality, ensuring that visitors could receive high-quality AI-generated glaze results within a smooth experience rhythm. They could also immediately receive their personal UGC result image, allowing traditional craft to continue spreading on social platforms in a form closer to contemporary language.

Multi-Point Sensor Interaction Exploring Three Koji Pottery Themes
3D printing technology transformed three classic Koji pottery themes into physical sensor figures. Combined with a multi-touch interactive table, the experience let visitors take on lively interactive challenges. Whether controlling soldier figures to guard Zhuluo City, joining an interactive Q&A with auspicious mythical beasts, or picking up a magnifying glass to explore cultural objects in a bogu painting, visitors learned about the deep cultural background of Chiayi Koji pottery through playful game-based interaction, expressing the curatorial core of learning through entertainment.

Introducing AI Technology to Dynamically Recreate Historical Legends and Anecdotes
To break the limitations of static cultural-object display, Artgital deeply introduced AI technology into the experience design and development workflow. TTS, or text-to-speech, allowed the legendary figure Kang Miao Jiao to personally tell local Chiayi anecdotes. AI animation technology gave dynamic life to static Koji pottery works, allowing vivid legendary beasts and historical battles to unfold again before visitors' eyes.

The experience reduced the distance between traditional cultural heritage and contemporary audiences, leading visitors to feel the legendary color of Chiayi Koji pottery with greater immersion.
