Virtual and physical worlds crossed over at Taiwan's most iconic landmark.
At TAIPEI 101, Lay's Local Potato Catch Game used Lightship AR technology to connect a mobile AR game with the real building. When visitors opened their phone camera on site, they could see Lay's local farmers climbing the tower and throwing potatoes from the top.
Players moved the Lay's package left and right on their phones to catch potatoes and earn points. By blending a virtual game with a real-world landmark, the activation made the experience feel more vivid, playful, and exciting.
The event took place at TAIPEI 101 from March 29 to April 14, 2024.
